Reliable Robotics is hiring a Part 135 line pilot to support Reliable Airlines’ Pacific operations. This unique role blends Part 135 cargo flying in Cessna 208 aircraft with operational test-pilot responsibilities and remote/piloted flights in experimental aircraft, directly supporting an autonomous flight operations contract in Guam.
✈️ The Role
Join a safety-first team operating at the forefront of advanced aviation technology. You will report to the Chief Pilot and fly a mix of autonomous and piloted missions, execute operational test flights, and conduct line flying under Part 135 for a major cargo network.
🧭 Location & Schedule
- Remote base: US home of record with travel to assigned locations provided.
- Tasking sites: Airline HQ in Albuquerque, NM; flight-test facility in San Martin, CA; and contract operations in Guam.
- Rotation: 14 on/14 off for CONUS tasking; 30 on/30 off for OCONUS tasking.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Safely operate autonomous and piloted Cessna 208 aircraft in Part 135 cargo service.
- Perform operational test-pilot duties and support flight-test activities on experimental platforms.
- Conduct both remote and piloted flying in evolving, safety-critical environments.
- Execute missions supporting an autonomous flight operations contract in the Pacific region (Guam).
- Collaborate with the Chief Pilot and operations team to uphold rigorous safety, training, and regulatory standards.
🌟 What You’ll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)
- Demonstrated proficiency in single-pilot IFR operations and strong cockpit communication.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing, safety-oriented environment.
- Participation in the FAA/DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
- Legal right to work in the United States and ability to qualify for a security clearance.
- FAA First or Second Class Medical.
- Certificates: Commercial Pilot Certificate – Single-Engine Land with Instrument Rating.
- FAR 135.243(c) IFR mins: 1,200 hours TT; 500 hours cross-country; 100 hours night; 75 hours instrument (actual or simulated), including 50 hours in actual flight.
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).
- Impeccable safety record and strong SMS mindset.
- Cessna 208 Caravan experience.
- 1,000 hours PIC.
- Previous 14 CFR Part 135 experience.
- UAS operator experience.
