✈️ What you’ll do

  • Serve as onboard PIC for J208 operational evaluation flights, ensuring safe, effective mission execution.
  • Monitor and manage Superpilot autonomy, making real-time operational decisions in dynamic test and evaluation environments.
  • Operate and oversee the Ground Control Station for uncrewed configurations and missions.
  • Lead preflight planning, mission risk assessments, and post‑flight debriefs under military airfield rules, FAA regulations, and internal safety protocols.
  • Partner closely with developmental engineering to capture operational lessons learned and feed them into ongoing flight‑software and hardware updates.
  • Represent the aircraft and flight‑evaluation program during live demonstrations for prospective and current military and civil customers.
  • Support deployed operations: flight‑line logistics, site setup, and field workflows while traveling up to 50% domestically and internationally.

🧭 What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or an aviation‑related discipline with 5+ years relevant flight operations experience; or Master’s with 3+ years; or equivalent practical experience.
  • ASEL Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL) with Instrument Rating and demonstrated PIC experience in fixed‑wing operations, test environments, or operational evaluations.
  • Ability to hold and maintain an FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one after hire.
  • Qualify as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 for export‑control compliance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel ~50% domestically and internationally.
