Qatar Aeronautical Academy is seeking an accomplished aviation leader to oversee our Multi-crew Pilot Licence (MPL) training programme. ✈️ About the role
As MPL Programme Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of our MPL pathway, ensuring training excellence, safety, and regulatory compliance from ground school through advanced simulator phases. You will guide and mentor our instructor team, optimise training resources, and uphold rigorous standards that produce industry-ready multi-crew pilots.
🧭 What you’ll lead
- Own and continuously enhance the MPL syllabus, training standards, and assessment framework.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable aviation training regulations and academy policies.
- Lead, coach, and schedule flying and simulator instructors to deliver consistent, high-quality training.
- Oversee programme planning, timetables, and utilisation of simulators and training devices.
- Monitor trainee progress, implement interventions, and drive measurable training outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align MPL training with operational requirements.
- Champion a just culture focused on safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- At least 10 years overall aviation industry experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in supervisory positions within the aviation industry.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience as a qualified flying instructor, with SFI preferably on the aircraft type(s) relevant to Qatar Aeronautical Academy course(s).
- At least 1 year’s experience in the running of MPL programmes.
- Completed MPL Instructor Training Course.
- Relevant educational qualifications.
- Proven ability to manage complex training operations while upholding safety and quality standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
