🧭 The Opportunity

As a Maintenance Technical Pilot (MTP), you will operate Part 91 flights in full compliance with FAA regulations and company manuals while setting the tone for safety, professionalism, and culture. You will partner closely with Flight Operations leadership to refine policies and procedures and serve as the final authority for the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate with crewmembers to ensure safe, reliable Part 91 flight operations.
  • Exercise full authority for the safe and efficient conduct of the flight from report time through release from duty.
  • Comply with all applicable FARs, TSA, DOT regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all administrative and currency requirements, including airport/route qualifications, flight time limitations, medicals, takeoffs/landings, home study, manuals, and uniform standards.
  • Perform thorough visual preflight and post-flight (walk-around) inspections before each flight.
  • Model PSA’s core values through professional appearance, attendance, and conduct; reinforce culture, compliance, and safety throughout operations.
  • Submit required reports on irregularities or incidents and immediately notify the Assistant Director of Flight Technical of any discrepancy impacting safety, compliance, or fiscal responsibility.
  • Support the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS), including Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of flight operations policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

🧾 What You’ll Bring

  • Previous PSA Captain with Part 121 line experience (required).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated, up-to-date knowledge of FAA requirements and PSA/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Current First-Class Medical, or the ability to obtain prior to training.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit, or ability to obtain.
  • Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas, or ability to obtain prior to training.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

This is a supervisory position that requires a high standard of leadership, judgement, and regulatory compliance.
