🧭 The Opportunity
Join the launch cadre introducing the Learjet 60XR into service at Draken. As Captain, you’ll bring proven leadership and tactical airmanship to a programme that underpins operational readiness and electronic warfare support. You’ll help shape standards, elevate safety, and set the benchmark for mission delivery as this capability grows.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Captain the Learjet 60XR, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient multi‑crew operations across dynamic mission profiles.
- Lead planning, briefing, and debriefing with operations and electronic warfare teams to deliver reliable, on‑time outcomes.
- Apply tactical military captaincy experience to complex, time‑critical scenarios with sound judgement and calm execution.
- Champion an uncompromising safety culture, SMS best practice, and continuous improvement across procedures and SOPs.
- Support fleet introduction activities, including procedure development, training, acceptance, and readiness milestones.
- Represent Draken professionally with government and defence customers, upholding the highest standards of service.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Hours: Total time: 1500+ | PIC: 1000+
- Flight time notes: Tactical military captaincy experience
- Licence: Frozen ATPL with IR, MCC, ME, and UPRT
- Open to licence holders: UK CAA
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
- Ability to gain and maintain UK MOD security clearances (nationality restrictions apply)
- Demonstrated commitment to aviation safety and best practices
- Team‑focused mindset with strong airborne leadership
- Desire to deliver exceptional results for government and defence customers
- Type rating: Not required — full Learjet 60XR training provided
