🧭 The Role
Based in Modesto, CA (MOD), the First Officer partners with the Captain to operate the Learjet 60 across passenger and freight-support missions. You’ll fly day and night in diverse weather, uphold exacting safety and customer-service standards, and represent Sierra West Airlines with a polished, professional presence. 🧰 What You’ll Do
- Operate the Learjet 60 in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Emphasize flight crew safety, situational awareness, and exemplary customer service.
- Communicate aircraft discrepancies clearly for maintenance follow-up.
- Support passenger operations with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Assist with freight loading/unloading; clean and stock the aircraft as needed.
- Work various shifts with extensive travel, including overtime and after-hours callouts.
- Accept frequent, unplanned overnights away from base of uncertain duration.
- Other duties as assigned to support safe, on-time operations.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument rating, or ATP (ATP preferred).
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) required; MEI preferred.
- Current Instrument Proficiency Check.
- Minimum 1,500 hours Total Time and 500 hours Multi-Engine.
- FAA First Class Medical.
- FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid passport (passport card not accepted) and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- English proficiency; minimum age 18.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft.
- Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug screening and background checks; able to obtain SIDA badge.
- Smartphone with texting/email and an iPad 2 or newer prior to reporting for duty.
- Reliable transportation; willingness to relocate to assigned base and travel extensively.
- Availability for various shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional after-hours callouts.
- Commitment to an 18-month training period for new, entry-level hires.
Preferred: Part 135 experience; familiarity with company aircraft and/or previous cargo experience; LR-60 SIC type rating; ATP; and Certified MEI.
