Learjet 45 First Officer (Part 135) – Captain Track

✈️ The opportunity

Jett Aircraft is expanding its Learjet 45 fleet and hiring First Officers for a captain-track role under FAR Part 135. If you’re building experience toward the left seat, you’ll receive structured training, a clear upgrade pathway, and a home-based schedule that keeps you flying professionally without living on the road.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Operate the Learjet 45 safely and efficiently in compliance with FAA regulations, Operations Specifications, and company policies.
• Assist the Captain as directed; assume command should the Captain become incapacitated.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-flight walk-arounds and verify fuel cap security.
• Observe and supervise refueling with strict attention to contamination control and fire prevention.
• Manage radio communications, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate logs in aircraft logbooks and the BART CoPilot app.
• Perform all flight duties at the Captain’s direction and uphold SOPs and CRM best practices.
• Maintain aircraft interior cleanliness and professional presentation.
• Maintain proficiency in aircraft systems and procedures; keep medical certifications current; complete required training and proficiency checks.
• Serve as inflight and ground security coordinator when necessary; verify passenger IDs against the manifest.
• Support daily aircraft operations, including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 80 pounds as required.

🧰 What you bring

• Minimum 500 hours total flight time (1,000 hours preferred).
• FAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL); ATP preferred.
• Current FAA Second Class Medical (First Class preferred).
• Learjet 45 type rating.
• Meets training standards per FAR Part 135.
• Current U.S. passport and ability to travel as scheduled.
• Detail-oriented, safety-first mindset with strong CRM and SOP discipline.
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 80 lbs for routine operational tasks.
