Learjet 45 Captain – Calgary-Based

✈️ The opportunity

As a Learjet 45 Captain, you will be responsible for the proficient and safe operation of the LR45 across Sunwest’s charter network. You’ll set the tone for excellence on every leg—leading the crew, engaging professionally with clients, and executing each flight to the highest standards of airmanship and compliance.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Captain LR45 flights, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
• Perform all duties associated with LR45 operations, from flight planning and performance to post‑flight tasks and documentation.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, Transport Canada requirements, and the CARs.
• Maintain readiness for a 24/7 call-out roster and operate with sound judgment under dynamic conditions.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot.

🧰 What you bring

• Valid ATPL (ICAO), with a valid Instrument Rating and applicable type rating if required.
• Minimum flight time:
  • 3,500 hours Total Time
  • 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
  • 2,000 hours Multi-Engine
  • 1,500 hours Multi-Engine PIC
  • 200 hours Jet
• Demonstrated record of safe, professional operations and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and crew resource management skills.
• Prior Learjet 45 experience is strongly preferred.
