Join a tight‑knit crew at Jett Aircraft and command a Learjet 40/45 as a home‑based Part 135 Captain. You will set the tone for safe, efficient, and passenger‑focused operations while enjoying a balanced schedule that averages about 16 flying days and ~5 overnights per month.
🧭 Your mission
- Exercise full pilot‑in‑command authority, ensuring safety is the primary consideration on every flight.
- Plan and execute flights: file flight plans, check NOTAMs and weather, and complete accurate weight and balance.
- Ensure all operations comply with applicable FARs, Operations Specifications, company policies, and safety management procedures.
- Assess operational risk and make sound, timely go/no‑go decisions.
- Verify aircraft airworthiness and that fueling meets mission requirements.
- Compute and confirm weight and balance within AFM limits; brief and direct the First Officer.
- Oversee the safe handling of passengers, baggage, and cargo.
🧰 What you bring
- ATP (Unrestricted) and FAA First Class Medical.
- Minimum 1,500 hours total time; 2,500+ hours preferred.
- 500 hours turbine and 500 hours multi‑engine.
- Current U.S. passport.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 80 pounds.
- Learjet 45 type rating or the ability to obtain company training and type rating.
- Proficiency in flight planning, weather/NOTAM analysis, and performance/weight‑and‑balance.
- Leadership, crew coordination, and strong PIC decision‑making skills.
All crew members are trained and qualified to FAR Part 135 standards; Jett Aircraft provides company training and certification on the Learjet 45.

- Home‑based operation with an average of ~16 flying days per month.
- Approximately 5 overnights per month, on average.
