✈️ The Opportunity

Advanced Air is seeking a seasoned Lead Pilot / Pilot in Command to captain a Challenger 300 based in Crescent City, CA. You’ll lead a two-pilot crew, act as final authority for safe operations per FAR 91.3, and partner closely with our Flight, Maintenance, and Training teams to keep the aircraft—and the experience—owner-ready at all times.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Lead Pilot for VIP/owner operations; coordinate and schedule owner trips, maintenance events, and crew training with internal teams.
  • Operate the Challenger 300 as PIC under Part 91/135, reviewing flight briefs and ensuring full compliance with FARs, Ops Specs, company manuals, and SOPs.
  • Retain final authority for safe operation (FAR 91.3) and verify airworthiness via AFM-compliant preflight inspections.
  • Lead a two-person crew: build rosters, manage time off, and maintain pilot qualifications on type.
  • Keep the aircraft owner-ready: cabin presentation, galley and amenity stocking, laundry, inventory, and passenger-facing electronics.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, and LOA approvals specific to the CL300.
  • Oversee aircraft-related expenses within budget; complete flight and duty records; promptly report maintenance discrepancies.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System and support continuous improvement initiatives.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) — unrestricted — with Challenger 300 PIC type rating (required).
  • Minimum 3,000 hours total time and 1,000 hours turbine PIC.
  • High-level working knowledge of FAR Parts 91 and 61, and AIM Sections 4–5.
  • CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates preferred (not required).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Digital dexterity; ability to work in confined spaces and manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects in excess of 150 lbs as required.
  • Ability to climb onto and off an airplane wing for pre/postflight or over-wing emergency egress.
  • Ability to execute flights of up to 4.5 hours per leg and up to 10 hours total flight time during a 14-hour duty period.
  • Residence within 7 hours of KCEC base.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and participate in random drug screening.
