Lead Captain — Gulfstream G550 (KHND, Henderson/Las Vegas)

🧭 What you’ll lead and do

• Actively fly the G550 as PIC and lead the designated flight department with a balanced focus on client needs and EJM standards.
• Build and maintain strong owner and charter client relationships; represent the EJM brand with professionalism and discretion.
• Champion effective crew resource management; mentor and motivate crewmembers; elevate communication and teamwork.
• Oversee safety, service quality, and crew compliance; promptly surface concerns and opportunities to the Regional Chief Pilot.
• Coordinate scheduled/unscheduled maintenance with the dedicated technician; ensure timely database updates, audits, checklists, and recurring tasks.
• Manage account administration: invoice reviews, vendor relationships, charter approvals, crew scheduling/communications, supplies, and subscriptions.
• Ensure crewing and trip assignments meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Own flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance.
• Lead Threats, Plans & Considerations briefings; adhere to company SOPs; serve as Ground Security and In‑Flight Security Coordinator.
• Complete preflight inspections; verify maintenance status and mission readiness; record discrepancies; oversee fueling, oil, oxygen, and ground servicing.
• Deliver clear passenger briefings; anticipate and accommodate special requests for a consistent premium experience.
• Apply CRM and Threat & Error Management throughout normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
• Maintain training, currency, and SMS participation; ensure all crewmembers remain qualified and audit‑ready.
• Investigate and resolve any service deviations; manage conflicts with professionalism.

🧰 What you’ll bring

• Prior Part 135 experience.
• Type rating: FAA GV/550/450 strongly preferred.
• Flight time minimums:
  • 3,500 hours total time
  • 1,500 hours multi‑engine land
  • 2,000 hours PIC
  • 500 hours PIC multi‑engine land
  • 300 hours instrument time
  • 500 hours jet time
• Able to perform the essential functions of the role.
• Residency: must live in or relocate to the Las Vegas area; this position is not commutable.
• Pre‑employment drug screening and background checks conducted by EJM.
• Pilot license level: not specified in the posting.
