CanWest Air/ACA is recruiting experienced Captains to join our Beechcraft King Air fleet, flying vital routes that connect remote communities across Alberta. If you’re a decisive leader with strong multi-engine experience and a passion for purposeful flying, we’d love to hear from you.
🧭 The Opportunity
As a King Air Captain, you’ll take command of scheduled and on-demand flights throughout Alberta, exercising sound judgment and exemplary airmanship while operating into regional and remote aerodromes. You’ll lead from the left seat, mentor First Officers, and deliver safe, efficient service that supports the communities we serve.
- Exercise full captaincy responsibilities and decision-making in accordance with CARs, Company Ops Manual, and SOPs.
- Plan and conduct IFR/VFR operations, including performance, fuel, weight and balance, and weather assessments.
- Ensure thorough pre- and post-flight inspections and collaborate closely with Maintenance for continued airworthiness.
- Uphold the highest safety culture, CRM, and SMS practices, while coaching and supporting your crew.
- Represent CanWest Air/ACA professionally with customers, partners, and communities.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2,500 hours fixed-wing total time.
- Minimum 500 hours multi-engine time.
- Minimum 100 hours multi-engine PIC time.
- Canadian ATPL.
- Current Group 1 (Multi-engine) Instrument Rating.
- Ability to pass Transport Canada Category 1 medical and vision requirements.
- Canadian passport or Permanent Resident status; eligible to work in Canada.
- Eligible to travel to the United States without restriction.
- Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid Class 5 Driver License (or equivalent).
- Valid First Aid Certificate (Basic + CPR, or equivalent).
