✈️ Role overview

As a licensed fixed-wing pilot assigned to Sanford Air Transport, you will conduct safe, efficient Part 135 air ambulance flights, ensuring timely transport for patients and medical teams. You’ll work within a highly professional, SOP-driven environment with strong operational support, predictable rotations, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on every mission.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Execute fixed-wing air ambulance missions in accordance with company procedures and FAA regulations.
  • Maintain command responsibility from initial dispatch through termination of each flight.
  • Demonstrate strong instrument proficiency and crew coordination in a dual-pilot environment.
  • Apply thorough knowledge of the Operations Manual, FARs, Ops Specs, Aircraft Flight Manual, and flight-specific requirements.
  • Uphold Sanford’s safety culture, ensuring the safe, efficient conduct of every mission.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Post-secondary education; prior Part 135 experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours.
  • Minimum 250 multi-engine hours; turbine time desired.
  • Instrument currency per FAR 61.57(c) or current company Instrument Proficiency Check.
  • Current FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL) with Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Rating.
  • Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Able to maintain a fully dressed-in-uniform weight of 240 lbs or less.
