King Air 200/300 Pilot – Pacific Maritime Surveillance (Rotational Deployment)

🧭 The Mission

Help protect vital marine resources by delivering safe, precise, and dependable maritime surveillance. You’ll operate modern King Air platforms, coordinate with a multi-crew team, and execute international transits supporting civil fisheries-enforcement efforts across the Pacific.

🧰 What You’ll Do

PIC Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot-in-Command for functional check flights, transits, and surveillance missions in King Air 200/300 aircraft.
• Plan routes, review weather, fuel, NOTAMs; prepare and file flight plans.
• Conduct aircraft preflight inspections; complete Aircrew Risk Management and weight-and-balance.
• Brief crew and non-crewmembers on normal/emergency procedures; inspect/test lifesaving and emergency equipment.
• Execute missions in VMC/IMC, including low-level overwater maneuvering, with precise CRM and procedural discipline.
• Complete pre-/post-flight records; prepare formal and informal mission observation reports.
• Communicate effectively with crew, ground personnel, ATC, and local officials; represent aircraft and program capabilities.
• Participate in deployed aviation and non-aviation team activities as required.

SIC Responsibilities

• Serve as Second-in-Command on functional check, transit, and surveillance flights.
• Assist the PIC with flight planning, briefings, risk assessments, and all normal/emergency procedures.
• Support the Crew Chief with pre-/post-flight duties and aircraft readiness.
• Prepare international travel documents and arrangements; conduct ATC and oceanic communications.
• Monitor and cross-check aircraft systems/instruments; run normal and emergency checklists.
• Inspect/test emergency equipment; complete required administrative and mission support tasks.
• Engage in deployed aviation and non-aviation activities with the team.

🌟 What You’ll Bring

• FAA Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Airplane with Commercial Privileges; CASA equivalents considered.
• FAA Second-Class Medical, valid for all deployment periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong CRM and professional-aviator references.
• Good health and mission-appropriate physical conditioning.
• Ability to travel on reasonable notice for up to three months.
• Current US or Australian passport; English-language proficiency; minimum age 23.
• Ability to document all flight time; TSC will evaluate quality, quantity, recency, training verifiability, aircraft complexity, operation type, and turbine-powered PIC experience.

PIC Track Minimums

• 1,500 hours Total Time
• 1,000 hours PIC
• 500 hours AMEL
• 250 hours in BE200/350
• 50 hours AMEL in the last 6 months

SIC Track Minimums

• 750 hours Total Time
• 100 hours PIC
• 200 hours AMEL
• 50 hours AMEL in the last 6 months

Preferred & Mission-Advantaged Experience

• 3,000 hours Total Time; 1,500 hours PIC; 1,000 hours AMEL; 100 hours AMEL in last 6 months
• 500 hours in King Air aircraft; BE-200/300 type ratings
• 200 hours actual instrument time
• CFI/CFII/MEI
• Law-enforcement, military, or equivalent mission flying; deployed/surveillance operations; international flying
• Experience with Garmin G600/GTN 750 and G1000 glass-cockpit avionics

📅 Schedule & Operating Details

• Three-month OCONUS rotations, including pre-deployment training/travel and post-deployment admin/travel
• Operations conducted under Part 91 in a dual-pilot configuration with Sensor Operator and Crew Chief (single-pilot authorized as applicable)
• Daily extended overwater surveillance at varying altitudes, including low-level overwater maneuvering in VMC/IMC
