Lead the Flight as HondaJet Captain (PIC)
Join Cutter Aviation as the primary face of a premium owner/charter operation. You’ll captain a new HondaJet HA-420 in single-pilot Part 91 and Part 135 service, delivering world-class safety and service while coordinating seamlessly with Cutter Flight Management.
✈️ Role Overview
As Captain/PIC, you’ll support owner travel and on-demand charter flying while serving as Cutter Aviation’s on-site leader. You’ll champion safety, deliver exceptional customer care, and represent the brand to aircraft owners, operators, business partners, and the business-aviation community.
🧭 Schedule & Coordination
- Remain available 24/7 year-round with flexibility for rotating schedules and short-notice callouts.
- Perform on-site management of trips and coordinate all phases of operation with Cutter Flight Management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for owners and charter clients, ensuring a seamless, premium experience.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Serve as PIC on the HondaJet HA-420 for single-pilot Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
- Uphold an uncompromising safety culture; ensure compliance with FAA regulations, qualifications, currency, and fitness for flight.
- Follow established procedures for reporting and documenting flight and ground irregularities; maintain accurate records.
- Provide world-class customer service at every touchpoint, from preflight through postflight.
- Train and mentor an SIC to properly perform SIC functions.
- Complete administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Chief Pilot.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Multi-Engine Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
- Current FAA First Class Medical, or the ability to qualify for one.
- No accidents, incidents, or sanctions within the past 5 years.
- Strong knowledge of general aviation aircraft, service requirements, and the needs of crews and passengers.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and manage ramp/ground handling tasks as needed.
- Excellent customer-service, organizational, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; friendly, rapport-building approach with clients and colleagues.
- Independent, self-starting work style with a sincere desire to assist customers and contribute as a team member.
- Ability to train and develop an SIC to standard.
- Clean driving record; ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- High School Diploma or GED.
🌟 Preferred Experience
- Previous Turbojet Type Rating and/or turboprop experience.
- 3000+ hours Total Time; 1500+ hours PIC; 250+ hours PIC in turbine-powered aircraft.
- Prior on-demand charter (Part 135) operations experience.
- Previous training with FlightSafety International (FSI) or SimuFlite.
