🧭 What You’ll Do

Captain (Pilot‑in‑Command)

  • Serve as PIC for assigned flights; safety is the primary consideration and final authority.
  • Plan and release flights: file flight plans, review NOTAMs and weather, assess operational risk, and verify aircraft airworthiness.
  • Confirm fuel requirements; complete accurate weight & balance within AFM limits.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, company policies, and safety‑management procedures.
  • Direct and mentor the First Officer; manage radio and cockpit resource management.
  • Oversee passenger care, baggage/cargo handling, and arrange ground handling when personnel are unavailable.
  • Retain responsibility for all delegated duties throughout the operation.

First Officer

  • Report administratively to the Chief Pilot and operationally to the Captain.
  • Assist the Captain with planning, regulatory compliance, and company procedures.
  • Supervise refueling and verify secure fuel caps; perform pre/post‑flight walk‑around inspections.
  • Handle radios and required paperwork; fly the aircraft at the Captain’s direction.
  • Complete aircraft and BART CoPilot app log entries (names, dates, locations, flight and duty times).
  • Maintain cabin/interior tidiness and readiness.
  • Maintain proficiency in systems and procedures; participate in training and proficiency checks.
  • Act as inflight/ground security coordinator when required; check passenger IDs against the manifest.
  • Assume command if the Captain becomes incapacitated.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

Captain — Minimums

  • FAA ATP certificate.
  • 1,500 hours total time (2,500 preferred).
  • 500 hours turbine time and 500 hours multi‑engine time.
  • Current U.S. passport; First‑class FAA medical.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 80 lbs for daily aircraft‑operation tasks.

First Officer — Minimums

  • 500 hours total time (1,000 preferred).
  • Current U.S. passport; Second‑class FAA medical (First‑class preferred).
  • ATP or ATP‑Restricted acceptable per assignment and training pathway.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 80 lbs for daily aircraft‑operation tasks.

For All Pilots

  • All pilots will be type rated in the Learjet 45 via company training at partner facilities.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and exceptional passenger service.

🎓 Training & Type Rating

Jett Aircraft provides LR45 type rating through partner training centers. The company covers training costs, lodging, rental cars, and meals during training and operational trips.

🌟 Pay & Benefits

  • Compensation: Yearly salary plus day rate for flying days.
  • Bonuses: Day bonuses for flights with 5+ legs, 7+ HOBBS hours, or Med‑EVAC operations.
  • Raises: Up to a 10% increase to base salary after one year; eligible annually thereafter based on performance reviews.
