Hawker HS-125 First Officer (SIC)

STA Jets is seeking experienced Second in Command (First Officer) pilots for Hawker HS-125 contract operations based in Costa Mesa, CA. In this right-seat role, you will partner with the PIC to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused flights while maintaining strict currency standards in type.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Serve as SIC on Hawker HS-125 series flights, adhering to FAA regulations and company SOPs.
• Support comprehensive flight planning: performance, weight and balance, weather/NOTAM review, and risk assessment.
• Maintain 12-month currency in type and overall proficiency.
• Deliver professional, discreet service to clients and coordinate effectively with crew and operations.
• Contribute to a safety-first culture on dynamic contract assignments.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

• Type Rating: Hawker HS-125 type rating with 12-month currency.
• Certificates: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land).
• Medical: Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Total Time: Minimum 1,500 hours total pilot time.
• Multi-Engine PIC: Minimum 1,500 hours fixed-wing multi-engine PIC.
• Multi-Engine Total: Minimum 2,500 hours multi-engine total time.
• Time in Type: Minimum 100 hours PIC in HS-125.
• Turbine: Minimum 2,000 hours turbine engine time.
• SIC Currency: SIC applicants must have an HS-125 SIC type rating on certificate and be current within 12 months.

Candidates meeting all currency and time-in-type requirements will be prioritized for these contract operations.
