✈️ Hawker 4000 Captain — Pilot in Command (Part 135)
Lead safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations as the PIC of a Hawker 4000. You’ll be the final authority on all aspects of flight preparation and execution, championing a strong safety culture while delivering an exceptional passenger experience. This aircraft operates under Part 135, is based at KIXD, and typically flies approximately 350 hours per year. No type rating required — training provided.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as the final authority for the aircraft and its operation in full compliance with all applicable FARs, company policies, and procedures.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance calculations, weight and balance, fuel strategy, alternates, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate and lead the crew, fostering clear communication, strong CRM, and a professional cockpit environment.
- Manage all phases of flight preparation: weather and NOTAM review, aircraft status, dispatch/flight release, and documentation.
- Prioritize safety through proactive use of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and sound decision-making under pressure.
- Deliver outstanding passenger service, ensuring comfort, punctuality, and discreet, professional interactions.
- Use flight planning and aviation management software to optimize routing, efficiency, and on-time performance.
- Represent the company with professionalism during all owner/passenger and vendor interactions.
🧰 Minimum requirements
- Total Time: 3,000 hours
- PIC: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Instrument: 250 hours IFR
- License: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: Class 1
🌟 Preferred qualifications
- 250 hours PIC in type (Hawker 4000).
- Previous experience in Part 135 operations.

- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, flight planning, and Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency with flight planning and aviation management software.
- Open to FAA license holders only; visa sponsorship is not available.

- Home Base: KIXD — New Century AirCenter (Kansas City area)
- Utilization: Approximately 350 flight hours per year
- Authority: PIC serves as the final decision-maker for the aircraft and its operation
