✈️ Gulfstream GV Captain
Solairus Aviation is seeking an experienced Captain to lead safe, compliant, and polished operations on a Gulfstream GV based at KVNY in Van Nuys, California. You’ll be the standard-bearer for safety, professionalism, and passenger experience on every leg—domestic and international.
🧭 The Role
As Captain, you will ensure every flight is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Solairus policies and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. You’ll set the tone for a culture of safety and service while managing all aspects of flight operations and crew coordination.
🧰 Key Responsibilities
- Lead safe, professional operation of the Gulfstream GV on every flight.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and verify aircraft readiness prior to dispatch.
- Complete the approved Aircraft Flight Manual preflight inspection and ensure proper documentation.
- Conduct thorough flight planning: weather, facilities, NOTAMs, route, fuel, performance, alternates, and international requirements.
- Operate strictly in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable FARs.
- Safeguard the safety and comfort of passengers and crew; model exceptional customer service.
- Accurately complete and submit all post-flight and trip paperwork per current procedures.
🌟 What You Bring
- Current type rating on the Gulfstream GV or a comparable aircraft.
- Valid First-Class Medical.
- Ability to complete ICAO International Procedures training annually.
- On-call availability and flexibility for changing schedules.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and a proactive safety mindset.
- Exceptional communication and crew resource management skills.
🧮 Minimum Flight Experience
- Total time: 3,000+ hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500+ hours
- Multi-Engine (MEL): 1,500+ hours
- MEL PIC: 500+ hours
- Turbojet time: 500+ hours
- Instrument time: 250+ hours
📍 Base, Schedule & Residency
- Base: Van Nuys, CA (KVNY)
- Schedule: On-call; must be responsive to operational needs
- Residency: Maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KVNY or be willing to relocate
- Operations: Domestic and international
