✈️ Role overview

Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G800 Captain to join a KPDX-based operation in Portland, Oregon. You’ll lead safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations while upholding Solairus procedures and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Command flights: Ensure the safe and prudent operation of the Gulfstream G800 from preflight through shutdown.
  • Aircraft readiness: Review maintenance status and perform thorough preflight inspections per the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Operational planning: Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, and airport facilities for departure, destination, and alternates.
  • Regulatory compliance: Adhere to Solairus Aviation policies, SOPs, and all applicable FARs.
  • Safety leadership: Protect the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew at all times.
  • Trip documentation: Accurately complete all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

🧰 What you bring

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • PIC time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-engine time (MEL): 1,500 hours
  • MEL PIC: 500 hours
  • Turbojet time: 500 hours
  • Instrument time: 250 hours
  • Type rating: Gulfstream G800 or comparable type
  • Medical: Current first-class medical
  • Training: Ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
  • Availability: Able to work on an on-call basis
  • Residence: Live within a two-hour drive of KPDX or be willing to relocate

  • Primary base: KPDX – Portland, Oregon
  • Schedule: On-call as operational needs dictate

🌟 Compensation

Crewmember pay range: $50,000 – $500,000. Compensation varies by geography, experience, aircraft, duties, training, and assigned account (as stated by the employer).
