Clay Lacy Aviation is seeking a full-time Lead Captain to helm a Part 91 Gulfstream G600 based at San Jose’s Norman Y. Mineta International Airport (KSJC). You will serve as PIC, lead the crew, and deliver an exceptional, safety-first experience across domestic and international operations.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command of the Gulfstream G600, executing safe, efficient domestic and international flights in full compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and aircraft limitations.
  • Lead and mentor the flight crew, fostering a strong safety culture, clear communication, and coordinated decision-making.
  • Own all preflight planning: weather and NOTAM analysis, performance and weight-and-balance calculations, fuel and alternates planning, and route optimization.
  • Monitor aircraft systems and performance; apply sound judgment and CRM to manage normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures.
  • Deliver white-glove customer service, ensuring a discreet, polished experience for passengers throughout every phase of flight.
  • Communicate effectively with ATC, ground handlers, and company stakeholders; coordinate logistics to keep trips on schedule.
  • Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately, including flight logs, safety reports, and regulatory records.
  • Champion continuous compliance with safety management practices and regulatory requirements.

🧰 What you bring

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • Gulfstream G-VII (G600) type rating.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 2,000 hours PIC turbine time.
  • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC in multi‑engine jet aircraft.
  • Minimum 500 hours PIC in Gulfstream G600.
  • International operating experience preferred.
