Solairus Aviation is seeking a seasoned Gulfstream G550 Captain to join our Opa-locka–based operation. In this full-time, on-call role, you’ll lead safe, efficient missions on a world-class aircraft while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.

  • Employer: Solairus Aviation
  • Location: Opa-locka, Florida, United States
  • Base: Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF)
  • Employment: Full-time; on-call operations
  • Aircraft: Gulfstream G550
  • Medical: First Class Medical required
  • Type Rating: Type rated on G550 or comparable aircraft
  • Residency: Live within a 2-hour drive of OPF or be willing to relocate

🧭 Your Mission

  • Captain the Gulfstream G550, ensuring the highest level of safety and professionalism on every flight.
  • Review and verify the aircraft’s maintenance status prior to departure.
  • Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, routing, destination and alternate airports, and required facilities.
  • Operate strictly within Solairus Aviation policies and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Protect the safety and wellbeing of passengers, aircraft, and crew at all times.
  • Complete all trip paperwork accurately and on time per current procedures.

  • Total time: 3,000+ hours
  • PIC: 1,500+ hours
  • MEL: 1,500+ hours
  • MEL PIC: 500+ hours
  • Turbojet time: 500+ hours
  • Instrument: 250+ hours
  • Current type rating on the Gulfstream G550 or comparable aircraft
  • First Class Medical
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis
  • Ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
  • Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of OPF, or willingness to relocate
