Solairus Aviation is seeking an accomplished Gulfstream G550 Captain to join our Oakland, CA flight department.   • Location: Oakland, California — Oakland International Airport (KOAK)
  • Employment: Full-time
  • Schedule: On-call; reside within a 2-hour drive of KOAK or be willing to relocate
  • Compensation: $50,000–$500,000 annually (dependent on experience and account assignment)

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Serve as PIC of a Gulfstream G550, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Conduct domestic and international flights in adherence with company SOPs, regulations, and ICAO standards.
  • Lead thorough preflight planning, including performance, weight and balance, fuel, weather, NOTAMs, and routing.
  • Demonstrate strong crew resource management and clear decision-making in all phases of flight.
  • Deliver a polished client experience with professionalism, discretion, and service excellence.
  • Maintain currency, training records, and aircraft/flight documentation to the highest standard.
  • Support on-call operations with flexibility and reliability.

🧰 What you bring

  • Total time: Minimum 3,000 hours
  • PIC: Minimum 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL): Minimum 1,500 hours, including 500 hours PIC
  • Turbojet time: Minimum 500 hours
  • Instrument time: Minimum 250 hours
  • License: Valid ATPL
  • Type rating: Gulfstream G550 (or comparable aircraft)
  • Medical: Current First Class Medical Certificate
  • Training: Able to complete annual ICAO international procedures training
  • Availability: Able to work on an on-call basis
  • Base: Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KOAK or willingness to relocate
