Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Gulfstream G500 Captain to support a private flight operation based at Camarillo Airport (KCMA) in California. This role is ideal for a polished, safety-focused aviator who thrives in a close-knit crew environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service with integrity.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command of the Gulfstream G500, ensuring safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and airworthiness prior to each mission.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Analyze weather, NOTAMs, facilities, and alternates for all planned routes and destinations.
- Ensure strict adherence to Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable FARs.
- Lead a culture of safety and professionalism, safeguarding passengers, aircraft, and crew at all times.
- Complete accurate and timely trip documentation and post-flight paperwork.
🧰 What you bring
- Flight Experience (minimums):
- 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command
- 1,500 hours Multi-Engine Land (MEL)
- 500 hours MEL PIC
- 500 hours turbojet time
- 250 hours instrument time
- Certifications: Type rating on the Gulfstream G500 or a comparable aircraft; valid First-Class Medical.
- Operational readiness: Ability to work on an on-call basis and operate with discretion in a client-service environment.
- International proficiency: Completion of ICAO international procedures training annually.
- Location requirement: Maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KCMA or be willing to relocate.
