Join Aero’s premium air travel operation as a First Officer (SIC), flying discerning guests via private terminals aboard the Gulfstream G‑IV. Based in Van Nuys, CA, you’ll operate across Aero’s network on variable schedules while upholding the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Set a high bar for safe, reliable operations and exceptional customer care.
- Operate the G‑IV as SIC under Part 135 and/or Part 121, adhering to all regulations and company procedures.
- Work independently and as a strong team member with limited supervision.
- Handle a wide range of normal, abnormal, and emergency situations with calm, decisive leadership.
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort from private terminal departure to arrival.
- Travel to domestic and international destinations; work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Licenses/Certs: FAA ATP (Unrestricted), valid First Class Medical, FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, valid passport; authorization to work in the United States.
- Type Rating: Current Gulfstream G‑IV type rating with at least 100 hours in type.
- Minimum Flight Experience: 2,000 TT, 1,000 Turbojet, 500 PIC; plus at least 1 year of Part 135 and/or Part 121 experience.
- Security & Travel: Able to pass TSA CHRC; unrestricted travel to all Aero destinations, including re-entry to the United States after international flights.
- Skills: Excellent communication, quick and accurate decision-making, and close attention to detail; comfortable using PEDs and operational technology.
- Scheduling: Willing and able to work varying hours, day or night, including weekends and holidays.
- Safety-Sensitive: Position subject to DOT testing per 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40 for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Opioids, and PCP.
