Solairus Aviation is seeking an experienced Global 6000 Captain to join our San Jose (KSJC) operation. Lead safe, compliant, and passenger-focused flights while managing crew coordination and rigorous flight planning for domestic and international missions.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Exercise PIC authority for safe, efficient operation of a Global 6000.
- Own end-to-end flight planning: performance, W&B, fuel, alternates, weather, NOTAMs, and international procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
- Lead and mentor flight crew; champion professional CRM and passenger care.
- Navigate global airspace with current ICAO procedures and best practices.
- Maintain readiness for an on-call schedule while upholding the highest safety standards.
🧰 What you bring
- Total time: 3,000 hours
- PIC time: 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- MEL PIC: 500 hours
- Turbine jet: 500 hours
- Instrument: 250 hours
- Type rating: Global 6000 or comparable large-cabin jet
- Medical: Current FAA First Class
- Training: ICAO International Procedures (annually)
- Availability: Ability to work on an on-call basis
- Base proximity: Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KSJC or willingness to relocate
