Global 6000 Captain – KSJC (San Jose, CA), Full-Time

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Global 6000 Captain to join our Northern California operation based at KSJC. You’ll lead safe, smooth operations on a world-class aircraft while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, regulatory compliance, and customer care.

  • Employment: Full-time
  • Aircraft: Bombardier Global 6000
  • Schedule: On-call; variable as mission requires

🧭 Your Mission

As Captain, you’ll be the final authority for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Global 6000 on every leg. You’ll champion meticulous preparation, sound decision-making, and a polished passenger experience from wheels-up to touchdown.

🧰 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of flight in accordance with company procedures and applicable FARs.
  • Review aircraft maintenance status and ensure airworthiness for each mission.
  • Conduct thorough, approved preflight inspections per the Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Plan and brief each trip, including comprehensive weather, NOTAMs, airport/alternate assessments, and route/fuel strategy.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety for passengers, aircraft, and crew.
  • Accurately complete all required trip documentation and post-flight records.
  • Represent Solairus Aviation with professionalism and discretion at all times.

🎯 What You’ll Bring

  • Total Time: 3,000 hours minimum
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1,500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1,500 hours
  • MEL PIC: 500 hours
  • Turbojet Time: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours
  • Current First-Class Medical.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis.
  • Completion of ICAO international procedures training annually.
  • Primary residence within a five-hour drive of KSJC (or willingness to relocate).
  • Global/overseas experience preferred; no Global 6000 type rating required.

  • Base Airport: KSJC — San Jose, California
  • Operating Area: Domestic and international operations
  • Residency: Within five hours of KSJC or open to relocation
