Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Global 6000 Captain to join a polished, safety-focused flight operation based at Chicago Executive Airport (KPWK) in Wheeling, Illinois. Lead every mission with professionalism and precision while delivering an exceptional passenger experience.

  • Employment: Full-time
  • Schedule: On-call; domestic and international operations
  • Residency: Live within a two-hour drive of KPWK or be willing to relocate
  • Compensation: $50,000–$500,000; varies by geography, experience, aircraft/equipment, duties, training, and assigned account

As Captain on the Global 6000, you’ll be the cornerstone of safe, efficient operations—balancing proactive risk management with world-class service. You’ll operate within Solairus Aviation procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations while representing a trusted, nationwide private aviation leader.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring safe, prudent flight operations on every mission.
  • Review aircraft maintenance status prior to departure and verify airworthiness.
  • Conduct an AFM-compliant preflight inspection.
  • Evaluate weather and facilities along the route, including planned and alternate airports.
  • Comply with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and all applicable FARs.
  • Protect the safety and security of passengers, crew, and aircraft at all times.
  • Accurately complete trip paperwork and documentation in accordance with current procedures.

🧰 What You Bring

  • Minimum flight time: 3,000 hours total time; 1,500 hours PIC; 1,500 hours MEL; 500 hours MEL PIC; 500 hours turbojet; 250 hours instrument.
  • Type rating on the Global 6000 or a comparable aircraft.
  • Current first-class medical certificate.
  • On-call availability and the ability to complete annual ICAO international procedures training.
  • Primary residence within two hours of KPWK or willingness to relocate.
