Solairus Aviation is seeking a seasoned Gulfstream G280 Captain to join a private/corporate flight operation based at Long Beach Airport. This full-time, on-call role is ideal for a safety-first leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys delivering a refined, professional travel experience.
🧭 Role Overview
As Captain, you will lead the safe, compliant, and professional operation of the Gulfstream G280 for a discerning corporate owner. You will exercise sound judgment, champion a strong safety culture, and ensure every trip meets Solairus standards and all applicable regulations.
🧰 Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Pilot in Command of the G280, maintaining the highest standards of safety and airmanship.
- Review aircraft maintenance status and airworthiness prior to each flight.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, including weather, NOTAMs, performance, fuel, and facilities along the route.
- Perform meticulous preflight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
- Operate in strict adherence to Solairus policies, applicable FARs, and company procedures.
- Safeguard passengers, crew, and aircraft while providing attentive, discreet service throughout the mission.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all trip logs and required documentation.
- Maintain on-call readiness and professional communication with the flight department.
🌟 Minimum Flight Experience
- Total Time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- MEL PIC: 500 hours
- Turbojet Time: 500 hours
- Instrument: 250 hours
🧠 Qualifications & Compliance
- Type rated on the Gulfstream G280 or a comparable aircraft.
- Current FAA First Class Medical.
- Able to work effectively on an on-call basis.
- Ability to complete ICAO International Procedures training annually.
- Primary residence within a 2-hour drive of KLGB, or willingness to relocate.
- Uncompromising commitment to safety, professionalism, and passenger service.

- Base of operations at Long Beach Airport (KLGB), California.
- On-call schedule; flexibility and responsiveness are essential.
