You will lead safe, efficient operations of our newly acquired 2002 Cessna Citation CJ2 (N525DL) under FAA Part 91, serve as Pilot-in-Command for executive travel, and establish the standards, systems, and relationships that define our aviation program.

- Serve as PIC for company flights, maintaining readiness for both scheduled and on‑demand travel.
- Plan and execute safe, efficient missions: routing, weather and performance analysis, fuel planning, and risk assessment.
- Establish and refine department SOPs aligned with FAA regulations and sound safety management practices.
- Build and scale the flight department: staffing plans, training standards, and vendor partnerships as the program grows.
- Ensure regulatory compliance; coordinate audits, inspections, and all regulatory interactions.
- Oversee maintenance scheduling and coordination with service providers; ensure airworthiness, cleanliness, and dispatch readiness.
- Manage relationships with FBOs, maintenance vendors, and aviation partners to optimize service and cost.
- Own flight scheduling and logistics; maintain flight logs, certifications, and operational documentation.
- Track operating costs and fuel usage; provide accurate budgeting inputs to leadership.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- FAA ATP (Unrestricted) and current First-Class Medical.
- Type rating and/or significant experience in the Cessna Citation CJ2 or comparable light jets (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 3,000 hours total time and 1,000 hours turbine time.
- Proven leadership as a Chief Pilot, Lead Pilot, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of Part 91 operations; Part 135 experience is a plus.
- Track record of disciplined decision-making, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Organizational rigor with excellent communication and vendor management skills.
🌟 Why this role
- Founding opportunity: shape a new corporate flight department from day one.
- Direct impact: partner with executive leadership on safe, reliable business travel.
- Clarity and balance: predictable cadence (~3 trips/month) with up to 8 protected “no fly” days each month.
- Operate a well-equipped Citation CJ2 while setting the bar for SOPs and service.
