Join a safety-focused operation based in Kinshasa, flying the dependable Fokker 50 with an operator supported by TPC Aviation, a Dubai-based leasing and sales company active across Africa and Latin America. If you hold an ATPL and are current on type—or can demonstrate a clear path to convert—we’d like to hear from you.

✈️ The Opportunity

As a Fokker 50 Captain, you will operate scheduled and charter services from Kinshasa, contributing to essential regional connectivity. You will lead multicrew operations, uphold rigorous safety standards, and represent the operator professionally across diverse environments.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Captain Fokker 50 operations from a Kinshasa base, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time performance.
  • Exercise sound decision-making in varied terrain and weather typical of regional African operations.
  • Lead and mentor flight deck crew, fostering strong CRM and a just culture.
  • Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and fuel planning.
  • Comply with company SOPs and the requirements of the DRC civil aviation authority.
  • Complete accurate post-flight, tech log, and operational reporting.

🧰 What You’ll Bring (Minimum Requirements)

  • Licence: Valid ATPL (frozen or full).
  • Type Rating: Current Fokker 50 type rating, or a demonstrable route to convert onto type.
  • Medical: Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Language: ICAO English Level 4 or above.
  • Regulatory: Eligible for licence validation/conversion with the DRC civil aviation authority.
  • Experience: Minimum total time and PIC on type as set by the operator (confirmed at interview).

🌟 Preferred

  • French language ability.
  • Previous African operating experience.

  • Base: Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Fleet: Fokker 50
  • Operator: DRC-based airline (recruited via TPC Aviation)

Note: Type-rating conversion pathways may be considered for strong candidates subject to operator approval.
