Seair Seaplanes is seeking experienced DHC‑2 Beaver floatplane captains to support our scheduled and charter operations along the Southern British Columbia coast. Fly the iconic Beaver into coastal communities, remote inlets, and active harbours while enjoying a balanced schedule, competitive wages, and benefits.
✈️ The role
- Operate the DHC‑2 Beaver on floats for scheduled services and on-demand charters along the Southern BC coast with an unwavering focus on safety.
- Conduct flight planning, performance calculations, weight and balance, preflight inspections, fueling, docking/beaching, and passenger briefings.
- Communicate clearly with passengers, dispatch, and ground/marine teams while delivering excellent customer service.
- Exercise sound judgment in rapidly changing coastal weather, tidal conditions, and remote environments.
🧭 About the operation
- Base: Richmond, British Columbia
- Area of operations: Southern British Columbia coast, including coastal harbours and remote locations.
- Service type: Scheduled and charter float operations.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Flight time: Minimum 1000 hours PIC fixed-wing and 500 hours PIC floatplane.
- Licence: CPL (Transport Canada approved).
- Medical: Current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Ratings: Float endorsement — SELS.
- Ability to work effectively in changing environments and remote locations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Preference for pilots familiar with the BC coast or with DHC‑2 float experience.
