Flight Test Pilot – Multiple Aircraft Types

As a Flight Test Pilot, you will plan, brief, and conduct test missions on multiple aircraft types, capturing accurate data, evaluating handling qualities, and communicating findings that inform certification, modifications, and operational decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and maintenance to ensure each sortie is safe, efficient, and insightful.

• Develop and execute test plans and test cards within defined limitations and risk controls.
• Conduct engine runs, taxi checks, functional check flights, and flight evaluations across various configurations.
• Monitor aircraft systems and performance; collect, validate, and annotate flight data.
• Deliver clear, concise debriefs and write structured flight test reports with actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations to prioritize objectives and readiness.
• Participate in hazard analyses, safety reviews, and pre/post‑flight briefings aligned with SMS best practices.
• Support conformity inspections and return‑to‑service activities following maintenance or modifications.

• Valid CPL (minimum) and current medical.
• Strong stick‑and‑rudder proficiency and procedural discipline; ability to fly precise test profiles.
• Comfort operating to checklists, test cards, and briefed risk mitigations.
• Clear technical writing and communication skills for notes, debriefs, and reports.
• Collaborative mindset with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Adaptability to fly different aircraft types and evolving test objectives.
• Nice to have: instrument privileges, additional ratings, and prior flight test/experimental experience.
