Join a safety-first air medical team serving communities 24/7/365. As a Fixed‑Wing Pilot on the BE200 under IFR, you’ll support HCA HealthOne AirLife operations (operated by Air Methods), transporting critical resources with precision, professionalism, and a strong focus on pilot work–life balance.

  • Location: Englewood, CO, United States
  • Program: HCA HealthOne AirLife (Air Methods)
  • Aircraft: Beechcraft King Air BE200 (Fixed‑Wing)
  • Operations: IFR
  • Schedule: 7/7 roster, 12‑hour shifts
  • Compensation: Temporary role at 140% ACCRA rate
  • Sign‑On Bonus: $15,000

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Operate Air Methods fixed‑wing aircraft safely and legally, maintaining final authority for the flight and the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
  • Complete thorough pre‑flight and post‑flight walk‑arounds; verify airworthiness and sign the Daily Flight Log before every flight.
  • Perform detailed flight planning—often on short notice—to exacting standards under IFR.
  • Be fully familiar with primary and backup aircraft systems; help ensure the medical team is comfortable with the medical interior and systems.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and participate in meetings, projects, committees, and community outreach.
  • Uphold a professional, positive presence with colleagues, EMS partners, hospitals, and the public.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Flight experience (IFR program minimums):
    • 2,500 total flight hours, with at least 2,000 hours in category (fixed‑wing).
    • 1,000 hours PIC in category.
    • 500 hours cross‑country (at least 50 hours at night).
    • 500 turbine hours.
    • 100 hours night; 100 hours actual instrument in category.
    • Flown in category within the previous 24 months.
  • Certificates & medical:
    • Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
    • Instrument rating (category/class; ATP in category meets this requirement).
    • Fixed‑wing multiengine rating required for twin‑engine aircraft.
    • Commercial single‑engine land required for single‑engine aircraft.
    • FAA First or Second Class Medical.
  • Education & experience: Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college/technical school and 2–5 years related experience/training; Bachelor’s preferred. Equivalent combinations considered.
  • Operational/safety requirements: Flight crew must maintain a weight not to exceed 250 lbs and be under 70 years of age.
  • Professional skills: Strong interpersonal skills; meticulous flight planning; proactive documentation; collaborative mindset.
