✈️ Fixed-Wing Air Ambulance Captain – Make Every Flight Count

Join Toll Aviation in Sydney and captain life-saving aeromedical missions across New South Wales and beyond. As a single-pilot Captain on our King Air B350 and Pilatus PC-24 fleet, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Flight Nurses, healthcare professionals and a dedicated operations team to deliver safe, reliable and mission-critical patient retrievals and transfers.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Operate King Air B350 and Pilatus PC-24 aircraft as single pilot on an air ambulance contract.
  • Partner with Flight Nurses, healthcare professionals and Toll colleagues to deliver time-critical patient retrieval and inter-hospital transfer services.
  • Conduct missions throughout New South Wales and into other states, commencing and finishing each shift at Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, airmanship and SOP compliance in dynamic, mission-driven environments, day and night.

🧰 What you’ll bring

Minimum requirements

  • CASA ATPL, or CASA CPL with all ATPL subjects completed.
  • CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • 1,500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • 400 hours multi-engine PIC.
  • 100 hours night PIC.
  • 250 hours instrument time, including at least 125 hours in flight.
  • Minimum of three multi-engine instrument rating renewals.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi‑disciplined clinical and aviation team.
  • Ability to pass a Working With Children Check and obtain an ASIC.
  • Entitled to work in Australia and able to complete pre‑employment checks (criminal history and medical).

Desirable

  • King Air B350 and/or Pilatus PC-24 experience.
  • Check and training background.
  • 1,000 hours turbine PIC.
