First Officer – Private Jet Operations (South Central U.S.)

✈️ About the role

As a NetJets First Officer, you’ll ensure safe, technically accurate operations while providing high-touch, personal service. From preflight to postflight, you’re the face of NetJets—anticipating needs, communicating clearly, and delivering a seamless experience for Owners and their guests.

🧰 What you’ll do

• Operate the aircraft safely during taxi, takeoff, flight, and landing in accordance with FAA guidance, OEM checklists, the NetJets Flight Operations or Aircraft Operating Manual, and company SOPs.
• Greet Owners and passengers, introduce the crew, confirm itineraries, explain trip changes, and provide weather and safety briefings.
• Deliver in-flight service when needed, including catering and alcohol service; load and properly stow baggage; accommodate passengers traveling with pets and Owners who smoke.
• Exercise final authority over the aircraft when assigned and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory guidance.
• Serve as the liaison between NetJets and its Owners/passengers from arrival at the departure FBO through safe arrival and departure at the destination FBO.
• Report maintenance abnormalities/discrepancies to Maintenance Control and complete associated documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned according to the operating assignment.

🧠 What you’ll bring

• Flight-time minimums: 1,000 hours total time; 250 hours fixed-wing PIC; 50 hours fixed-wing multi-engine.
• Cross-country: 200 hours beyond 50 NM.
• Night: 100 hours, or 75 hours with at least 45 night takeoffs and landings.
• Instrument: 75 hours actual or simulated in-flight instrument time (excluding simulator time).
• Certificates: Eligibility for FAA ATP or R-ATP (multi-engine) under 14 CFR 61.160. Pathways: 1,500 hours total time; 1,250 hours with an appropriate university R-ATP certificate; or 1,000 hours via military pilot qualification or an appropriate university R-ATP certificate.
• Testing: ATP written exam completed prior to Indoctrination Training.
• Credentials: FCC Restricted Radio Operator Permit; valid United States passport; valid state driver’s license; authorization to work in the United States; unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
• Security: Ability to pass required TSA background screening and obtain any applicable airport-authority or U.S. Customs security badges.
• Age & education: At least 21 years old; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Professionalism: Fluent in English; communicate effectively under pressure; make quick, accurate decisions; maintain a professional, service-oriented appearance; interact positively with passengers.

💪 Operational realities

• Substantial schedule flexibility; willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Duty periods up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight consecutive days.
• Hotel stays away from home for seven or more days/nights; travel across time zones and in varied/extreme weather.
• Ability to move objects up to 50 lbs occasionally (30 lbs frequently; 10 lbs constantly).
• Comfort working around and helping care for animals as needed.
• Ability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
