GainJet Ireland (Executive Jet Charter) is building a talent pipeline for Captains and First Officers on the Cessna 500 series (Citation), with First Officer opportunities anticipated from early 2026. If your Cessna 500 series type rating has recently expired, you are still encouraged to apply.

🧭 Role at a glance

  • Position: First Officer (Co‑pilot)
  • Aircraft: Cessna Citation 500 Series (Citation I / I‑SP)
  • License: EASA Part‑FCL CPL / ATPL / frozen ATPL
  • Medical: EASA Class 1
  • Minimum Total Time: 1,500+ hours
  • Minimum Time on Type: 500+ hours on Cessna 500 series
  • Type Rating: Cessna 500 series (valid or recently expired)
  • Start window: Roles expected to arise early 2026; availability to start as soon as possible after selection

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Operate as First Officer on the Cessna Citation 500 series in executive jet charter operations.
  • Support safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations in line with company SOPs and EASA regulations.
  • Assist the Captain with flight planning, performance calculations, fuel planning, and weight & balance.
  • Conduct thorough pre‑flight preparation, weather/NOTAM review, and post‑flight documentation.
  • Practice strong CRM, clear communication, and decisive support in normal and non‑normal operations.
  • Coordinate with ground teams to ensure on‑time departures and an excellent client experience.

🌟 What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 1,500 hours total flying time, including at least 500 hours on the Cessna 500 series.
  • EASA Part‑FCL CPL / ATPL / frozen ATPL.
  • EASA Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Cessna 500 series type rating; applicants with recently expired ratings are welcome to apply.
  • Professionalism, strong situational awareness, and a safety‑first mindset.

Positions are expected to arise in early 2026. Shortlisted candidates should be available to commence as soon as possible after selection.
