As a High-Time First Officer at Piedmont Airlines, you’ll fly the Embraer 145 from our Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Harrisburg crew bases with a clear, contractual progression to Captain, comprehensive benefits, and family travel privileges across the American Airlines network.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Operate the Embraer 145 as First Officer, ensuring safety, compliance, and on-time performance under FAR Part 121.
  • Execute standard operating procedures, checklists, and company policies with precision and professionalism.
  • Work closely with the Captain and dispatch to deliver a safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operation.
  • Maintain proficiency and currency through recurrent training and checking.
  • Based at PHL, CLT, or MDT crew bases as operationally assigned.

🌟 Minimum qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid United States passport, or a valid passport with authorization to work in (and re-enter) the United States.
  • Current FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Meet all FAA requirements to carry passengers for two years from your date of hire.
  • 2,000 hours total flight time.
  • Appropriate FAA pilot certificates to accrue upgrade-qualifying time under FAR 121.436(a).
  • 500–949 hours of FAR 121.436(a) upgrade-qualifying flight time.

✨ Preferred qualifications

  • Type rating in a Part 25 aircraft.
  • Current employment in a pilot position.

🚀 Compensation & progression

  • Captain upgrade eligibility after 2,500 total hours and 1,000 hours of qualifying FAR 121.436 time.
  • Pilots with 750 hours of qualifying FAR 121.436 time are paid as a Captain (subject to verification).
  • Captains flow to mainline after 5 years of service or are paid top of scale until they flow.
