Porter Airlines is expanding fast—and we’re looking for collaborative, safety-focused First Officers to fly the Embraer E‑Jet family (E170/E190) from our Toronto Pearson (YYZ) base. With rapid growth and fast upgrade timelines to Captain, this is an opportunity to accelerate your career while upholding Porter’s Flying Refined standards.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Operate Embraer E‑Jets safely and efficiently in accordance with company SOPs, CARs 705 regulations, and operational policies.
- Demonstrate leadership on the flight deck, working collaboratively with crew and cross‑functional teams to deliver Porter’s Flying Refined service.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations.
- Champion and promote the Company Safety Policy—safety is Porter’s #1 priority.
- Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully to support an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot License (Transport Canada), or completion of SAMRA and SARON written exams.
- Minimum 1,500 hours total time.
- Legal ability to work in Canada.
- Current, valid Canadian passport; or an international passport with a valid U.S. Crewmember Visa (C‑1/D).
License required: ATPL_ICAO.FATPL
🌟 Preferred Assets
- Previous jet experience in high‑density/complex airspace.
- Time on the Embraer E170/E190 variant.
- CARs 705 operational experience.
- Aviation college diploma or university degree.
Candidates who do not meet every minimum may be considered based on overall experience and other factors.
