✈️ The opportunity

As a Direct Entry Captain, you’ll operate on our multi‑fleet—spanning ATR, ERJ‑145, Twin Otter, and Islander aircraft—depending on base and experience. You’ll lead safe, efficient, and on‑time operations across varied regional routes, from busy hubs to uniquely challenging remote airfields.

🧭 What you’ll do

Command multi‑crew flights in accordance with company SOPs and UK CAA regulations.
Exercise sound judgement and calm decision‑making under pressure and changing conditions.
Lead and inspire your crew with professional, collaborative CRM.
Champion safety culture, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement.
Deliver an excellent passenger experience and represent Loganair with professionalism.

🌟 Minimum requirements

Licence: UK CAA ATPL.
Medical: Class 1.
English proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
Command experience: Currently or recently operated in command on a multi‑crew aircraft (MTOW > 10t or 19+ pax).
Type rating: Not required — training provided.
Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship not provided.

While not essential, a current type rating on any of the following is advantageous:

ATR 42‑500 / 42‑600 / 72‑600
Britten‑Norman Islander
de Havilland Canada Dash 6‑310 Twin Otter
