Direct Entry Captain — Dash 8 Q‑Series (Q400)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Command Dash 8 Q‑Series (including Q400) operations with an unwavering commitment to safety, compliance, and SOP discipline.
• Lead and mentor the flight deck and cabin crew, fostering a collaborative, respectful, and performance‑driven environment.
• Exercise sound decision‑making in dynamic conditions to optimize operational efficiency and on‑time performance.
• Deliver a confident, calm passenger experience with clear communication and professional service standards.
• Champion a proactive safety culture through effective threat and error management, briefings, and debriefs.

🧰 Minimum requirements

• Total time: 2,500 hours
• PIC time (in type): 500 hours on Dash 8 Q‑Series
• Flight time notes: EITHER 500 hours PIC on Q400 OR 1,500 hours PIC on heavy turboprop in excess of 44,000 lbs MGTOW
• License: ATPL issued by TCCA
• Open to license holders: TCCA
• Medical: Class 1
• ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
• COVID‑19: Vaccination required where permitted by applicable law

Note: Pilots who do not meet every minimum may be considered based on overall experience and other factors.
