Direct Entry Captain – B747 & A330 (Type Rating Provided)

✈️ The mission

National Airlines Captains are overall responsible for the safe and reliable operation of our B747 and A330 aircraft.

• Lead all phases of flight: planning, dispatch coordination, departure, enroute decision-making, and arrival.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FARs, company SOPs, and international procedures.
• Champion safety, risk management, and professional airmanship across diverse global operations.
• Mentor and coordinate with flight and cabin crew, fostering a high-performance cockpit culture.
• Represent National Airlines with professionalism when operating worldwide and interacting with authorities and customers.

🧭 Minimum requirements

• Total time: 5,000 hours
• Part 121 time: 1,000 hours
• PIC/SIC (per FAR 121.436): Minimum 1,000 hours obtained under Title 14 CFR
• Type rating: Not required — training provided
• Note: ATP issued with a CIRC APCH–VMC Only limitation is acceptable
• License: ATP (FAA)
• Medical: Class 1
• Open to license holders: FAA

🧰 Additional requirements

• Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
• Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas for international travel; passport valid at least one year from application date
• Foreign nationals must be able to obtain all visas required to operate National Airlines flights
• U.S.-based pilots must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to undergo a 10-year background check including Pilot Records Database (PRD), DOT pre-employment drug testing, and Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
• Meet entry/exit requirements for all jurisdictions served (valid passport, visas, and any required vaccinations). Travel documents must remain current during training and operations.
