Join Airlink’s Accelerated Command pathway as a Direct Entry Captain based at O.R. Tambo International Airport. Step straight into the left seat, lead a professional crew, and take command from aircraft acceptance after the pre-flight inspection through to release on the ramp to qualified flight or ground personnel.

🧭 Your Mission

• Assume full responsibility for the aircraft, crew, and passengers from acceptance on the ramp after pre-flight inspection until formal handover on the ramp at the end of duty.
• Lead and mentor the flight and cabin crew to deliver safe, professional operations and an exceptional passenger experience.
• Exercise sound judgement in all phases of flight, ensuring strict compliance with company SOPs, operational requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate effectively with ground operations, maintenance, and ATC to ensure on-time, safe, and efficient departures and arrivals.

As the assigned Captain, you are responsible for the aircraft, crew, and passengers from the time you accept the aircraft after the pre-flight inspection until you release it on the ramp to qualified personnel.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

• Education: Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Licences & Ratings: CAA-issued pilot licence; valid ATPL; valid instrument rating
• Total Flight Time: Minimum 5,000 hours
• Aircraft Experience: Minimum 2,000 hours on medium aircraft
