✈️ About the role

Talkeetna Air Taxi is seeking experienced Captains to operate the DHC-3 Otter in Alaska’s rugged backcountry. As a leader in world-class glacier operations—performing more glacier landings than any other company—you’ll deliver unforgettable flightseeing experiences, support climbers, and execute precision glacier and off-airport landings in one of aviation’s most challenging and rewarding environments.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Operate the DHC-3 Otter on flightseeing and scenic flights from Talkeetna.
  • Conduct glacier landings and backcountry operations with the highest safety standards.
  • Provide climbing access and support missions into the Alaska Range.
  • Perform thorough pre-flight planning, inspections, and passenger safety briefings.
  • Maintain professional airmanship and crew/passenger safety at all times.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Valid CPL.
  • Minimum 2,000 hours total flight time.
  • Minimum 50 hours in the DHC-3 Otter.
  • 500 hours tailwheel time preferred.
  • Experience in Cessna 185 and/or DHC-2 Beaver preferred.

🎓 Training & checks

  • One week of ground school in Talkeetna (late April).
  • Successful completion of all required check rides prior to employment finalization.
