NW Seaplanes is seeking an experienced seaplane pilot to join our seasonal team, connecting passengers to boating, salmon-fishing, and tourist destinations throughout the San Juan Islands and the British Columbia coast.

  • Employer: NW Seaplanes (with sister company Friday Harbor Seaplanes)
  • Location: Seattle/Renton, Washington (Base: Renton)
  • Season: May through mid-October
  • Operations: Scheduled and charter flights to the San Juan Islands and British Columbia’s Coast

✈️ The Opportunity

Join a tight-knit, professional team operating classic Beavers on floats during our peak summer season. You will fly scheduled and charter services, delivering safe, timely, and friendly operations for our diverse passenger base headed to coastal communities and resort destinations.

🧭 Where You’ll Fly

Based in Renton, WA, you’ll launch from Lake Washington to routes spanning the San Juan Islands and along the beautiful British Columbia coastline—some of the most scenic seaplane flying in North America.

🌟 What You’ll Do

  • Operate the DHC-2 Beaver on floats in seasonal scheduled and charter service.
  • Exercise sound judgment and uphold the highest standards of passenger safety at all times.
  • Conduct all preflight planning, briefings, and post-flight duties with professionalism and care.
  • Collaborate closely with dispatch, ground, and maintenance teams to keep operations running smoothly.

🧰 What You Bring

  • License: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Single-Engine Sea rating.
  • Total Time: Minimum 1,000 hours.
  • Float Time: Minimum 50 hours.
  • In-Type: 25 hours in the DHC-2 Beaver preferred.
  • Regulatory Experience: Part 135 experience is a definite plus.
  • Attributes: Superior piloting skill, sound judgment, and a strong team-player mindset.
