This collegiate pathway is tailored for aviators enrolled at a Southwest partner university or completing a Southwest Airlines Campus Reach Internship. Selected candidates gain relevant flight experience with a Southwest Airlines partner while building time in Jet Linx’s professionally managed Part 135 operation. The program is designed to be accessible, cost-effective, and innovative—helping you prepare for airline opportunities and put yourself in position to join the ranks of Southwest Airlines pilots.

• Build high-quality, paid flight time in Jet Linx’s FAA Part 135 fleet under robust safety and training standards.
• Follow a structured development plan aligned with airline expectations and the Destination 225° framework.
• Receive mentorship and guidance to prepare for Southwest Airlines prescreening and future opportunities.
• Live Jet Linx’s culture and values while operating in a professional crew environment.
• Relocate as needed to meet operational and training requirements.

• Program Acceptance: Acceptance into Destination 225° via a Southwest Airlines acceptance letter.
• Enrollment: Active enrollment in a university program affiliated with Destination 225° (or completion of a Southwest Airlines Campus Reach Internship).
• Commitment: Willingness to commit a minimum of two years to Jet Linx.
• Academic Standing: Recommendation letter verifying good standing in coursework and flight training.
• Resume: Current resume showing flight times, ratings, and relevant experience.
• Background & Compliance: Successful TSA background screening, Criminal History Records Check, and FAA/DOT drug testing.
• Language: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Airline Readiness: Ability to pass prescreening required for employment at Southwest Airlines.
• Mobility: Ability to relocate as required.

✈️ Licenses, Ratings & Education

• Degree or certification from the affiliated university program.
• Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings.
• Meets R-ATP requirements.
• Current U.S. DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• Valid passport permitting travel into and out of the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work full time in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• At least 21 years old at time of application.
