✈️ The Opportunity
As Deputy Chief Pilot, you’ll manage fixed‑wing pilots and day‑to‑day flying operations, upholding safety, compliance, and performance across challenging terrain and remote strips. You’ll be the bridge between the flight line and the flight operations leadership, ensuring standards, schedule integrity, and customer satisfaction.
🧭 What You’ll Lead
- Ensure flying operations comply with applicable air legislation and the company operations manual.
- Establish and maintain the company technical library and all operational documentation.
- Maintain flight crew administration systems and accurate record keeping.
- Roster all fixed‑wing pilots, implementing an efficient progression system.
- Oversee pilot and crew check‑and‑training programs.
- Liaise with the aviation authority on flight operations matters.
- Appoint lead pilots for contracts, projects, and remote operations.
- Capture and curate corporate information within company business systems.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- CASA or ICAO license for the assigned aircraft type, or the ability to obtain one promptly.
- Minimum 5,000 hours total time, including 3,000 hours as Pilot in Command.
- Preferably rated on, or with significant experience in, the DHC‑6 or similar twin turboprops.
- Level 5 English proficiency.
- High computer literacy across Microsoft software.
- Mature, responsible leadership with calm performance under pressure.
- Client‑focused mindset with the ability to meet schedules in difficult conditions.
- Willingness to travel to other company locations as required.
- Adaptability to a dynamic operating environment and non‑Western cultural contexts.
