Omega Air Refueling is hiring experienced Second Officers to join our DC-10/MD-10 flight decks. ✈️ About the role
As a DC-10/MD-10 Second Officer (Flight Engineer), you will support the Captain and First Officer in the safe, efficient operation of our heavy jet fleet. You will manage and monitor aircraft systems, execute checklists, and contribute to flight planning and performance calculations, ensuring every mission is executed to the highest standard.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as Second Officer/Flight Engineer on DC-10/MD-10 operations, supporting all phases of flight.
- Monitor and manage aircraft systems, performance, and fuel distribution; troubleshoot abnormalities.
- Execute normal, abnormal, and emergency checklists in coordination with the flight deck crew.
- Assist with weight and balance, performance calculations, documentation, and compliance.
- Uphold FAA regulations, company SOPs, and security protocols.
🧰 What you bring
- Experience in B-707/KC-135 and/or KC-10/DC-10 aircraft.
- 2,000 hours total multi-engine land time (3,000 preferred).
- CPL with Instrument rating or ATP.
- Type Rating(s): B-707/B-720 and/or DC-10.
- 1,000 hours MEL PIC time (in type preferred).
- Recent heavy aircraft flight time within the last 12 months preferred.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical.
- Eligible for Secret-level security clearance; current status within the previous two years.
- Current, valid passport or travel documents enabling free exit and re-entry to the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
