✈️ About the Role
Take command of the legendary DC‑9 with a FAR Part 121 air carrier, flying unscheduled, on‑demand cargo missions. This seasonal Captain opportunity is built for current, type‑rated ATPs who thrive in dynamic freight operations and put safety first. Relocation is not available.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Pilot in Command on DC‑9 cargo missions in an unscheduled, on‑demand environment.
- Operate strictly in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121, company SOPs, and the Safety Management System.
- Execute disciplined preflight planning: performance and weight & balance, fuel strategy, alternates, and weather/NOTAM analysis.
- Lead cockpit and ground coordination to move time‑critical freight safely and on schedule.
- Adhere to all security and documentation protocols, including TSA and PRIA requirements.
- Maintain accurate flight, aircraft, and cargo records per regulatory and company standards.
🧰 What You Bring
- License: ATP certificate with an unrestricted turbojet type rating (DC‑9 preferred)
- Type Rating: Required; DC‑9 preferred
- Total Time: 3,000 hours
- Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Turbojet Time: 500 hours
- Medical: Class 1 (First Class)
- License Holder: FAA
- FCC: Radio Telephone Operator Permit
- Background: Successful TSA security and PRIA checks
- Travel Documents: Current passport
