Great North Airlines is expanding our flight deck team. We deliver dependable ACMI operations and mission-critical charters supporting government agencies, First Nations communities, and corporate partners. As Captain, you hold primary responsibility for each flight, supervise the crew, and report directly to the Chief Pilot.
🧭 Your mission
Command Dash 8-100/300 operations with professionalism and precision, ensuring every phase of flight is conducted safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company procedures—while leading your crew with calm, confident decision-making.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Take primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft on each assigned flight.
- Complete and oversee all pre-flight, inflight, and post-flight duties in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies.
- Lead and supervise flight crew, ensuring duties are performed to regulatory and company standards.
- Operate across domestic, trans-border, and international environments without restriction.
- Uphold a strong safety culture and effective crew resource management, reporting to the Chief Pilot.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
🌟 What you bring
- 3,000 hours Total Time.
- 500 hours propeller time.
- Transport Canada ATPL and Category I Medical Certificate.
- Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Eligible to operate company aircraft domestically, trans-border, and internationally without restriction.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have: Aviation diploma or degree.
